Parents,
On Thursday, February 15th, we will be having our Valentine’s class parties. This will also be the day that your child can pass out Valentine’s cards/treats if he/she so chooses. The A.M. class has 29 students and the P.M. class has 25 students. We would ask that you have your child only write his/her name in the “From:” section on each card. We are now in our third quarter of kindergarten! Wow! Report Cards went home with your child Friday. Please ask him/her for it if you did not see one. There was a blue paper sent home that explains Battle of the Books Jr. This is a reading incentive program that will hopefully get kids excited about reading. If your child is not yet reading, he/she can also get credit for the book if you read it to him/her. Our field trip to Discovery Gateway will be this Wednesday, January 24th. All kindergarten students will attend school that day from 8:15 to 11:15. There will be no P.M. kindergarten session. It will be a fun and exciting day for your kiddos! Also...looking ahead...there will be no kindergarten on Wednesday, February 14th. This will be a day when I will be conferencing with parents all day long. Thursday, February 15th will be a short day and will also be the day of our class Valentine's Day parties. I will let you know when the Online Scheduler is up and running for you to sign up for SEPs.
