I have been working all day to get things online and ready for your child to begin work after spring break, beginning March 24th. I have decided to use google classroom as the platform to work from to create assignments. Every assignment will be posted there with instructions. Since we have never used google classroom in my class, I have posted a link below for instructions on how to sign into google and navigate to google classroom. If you have older children, they will be very helpful to you since they have probably already done this in their own classroom. Here is the link:

Your child will need to enter my google classroom code to join my class. The code is: kxxmcdf
Let me know if your child forgot his/her 9# and I can send it to you. This number will be needed for logging in to google classroom.
I have also created a Spelling City (spellingcity.com) account for your child to practice spelling words, sight words, and vocabulary. When you are ready for your child's username let me know. It will be different from their other logins. However the password will be the same as always...123456.
I will be at the school Tuesday and Wednesday to check out Chromebooks and reading and math books if desired. If you do NOT have access to the internet, please let me know ASAP. Because all of the learning will be taking place online, I will need to work with you individually if you do not have access to the internet.
This will feel overwhelming at first. I have posted all assignments for math, language arts, science, and social studies on google classroom. The assignments are for the entire week following spring break, so don't feel like it has to be completed all at once. If you want your child to get a jump start on the assignments, they are ready to go now. I will make adjustments as we go according to your feedback. I have never done anything like this before, so I am learning as I go and am totally open to making changes along the way.
I will be checking my email frequently and I am happy to answer any questions you may have. I am willing to help walk you through the process if needed.
Warm Regards,
Mrs. Mills
