In the homework folder this week, I sent home a green paper with information about the Go Math thinkcentral.com website. This is a great resource for your child especially if he/she is struggling with numbers or counting. There are some great games that your child can play to reinforce what we are learning in class. This is optional. In the upper grades, this website is used more extensively. Please see the "math" tab on this website if you need an instructional video on logging in.
And of course, the most important thing...Halloween! There will be a Halloween parade on Thursday, October 31st at 8:30 A.M. This means that if your child is in the afternoon class and would like to participate, you will need to bring him/her at this time. The tricky part is that you will need to take your afternoon child home when the parade is over and bring him/her back for school at the regular afternoon time. It is also early-out day, so please follow the shortened schedule that day.
Our parent volunteers have planned some great Halloween parties. Thank you for all of your hard work! We do need a few more helpers for the morning party. Please let me know if you are interested.
Speaking of volunteers...please see the "volunteer" tab and sign up to help out in the classroom. I could really use some help running centers. Thank you all so much for your work with your children. They are learning so much!
