We are off to a great start! Your child is bringing home a homework folder this week. In a plastic sleeve you will find the instructions as well as a calendar. Please read the instructions. It explains everything. You will need to keep the calendar the entire month because it will tell you what your child should do each day. Please have your child return the folder with the completed homework on Friday (or the last day of the week). New homework will come home every Monday (or the first day of the week).
This week we will be reviewing the letters Aa, Bb, and Cc as well as the numbers 1 and 2. You can find out what we are studying each week by clicking on the Math and Language Arts tabs. Also, check out the Youtube Favorites tab. This will have some of the videos we have been watching in class to reinforce important concepts.
The goal this month for your child is name writing. The first letter must be capitalized and the rest of the letters must be lower case. The name will need to be placed correctly on the lines (top, middle, and bottom). If your child has already mastered this, move on to last name. See the example below. I will be sending an e-mail out this week with a link to Sign-up Genius. This will be an opportunity for you to sign up to help out in the classroom. I will need help with centers as well as tearing pages out of math books and collating them.
