I wanted to let you know what is happening in January. Report cards are due in less than two weeks. This means that over the next several days, I will be assessing each student on various math and language arts skills. If possible, try to keep absences at a minimum until next week comes to an end. If you can, review sight words as much as possible with your child. If you lost your flash cards and would like another copy, please let me know.
We have a couple of days off this month. There will be no school on Friday, January 16th. It is a teacher work day for training and report cards. There will be no school on Monday, January 19th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
I saved the best news for last. This month our class will be fortunate to have the addition of a student teacher. Her name is Natasha Carrell and she attends Utah State University. She will be a great help to us all. With an extra set of hands we can do so much more.
Thank you all for your hard work with your children. I am so glad to be able to work with each of them.
